Josh Boylan KE2FSC led two successful CPR and First Aid sessions on the morning and afternoon of Sunday, October 5th, with about 9 members and guests attending each session. All participants earned certification in CPR and AED use and were introduced to the Clubhouse first aid kit, stocked by Josh for on-site needs. This skill set is important given the age of many of our members, as having trained CPR rescuers may be critical at some point. Josh’s extensive actual experience as an EMT combined with his “day job” training skills showed, and we were fortunate to have his expertise as an instructor and as a member of the Club.

Registration for our CPR/First Aid course is now open. The course is free and is taught by Club Member Josh Boylan KE2FSC, an EMT trainer and paramedic. Club members and one family member (e.g., spouse, child, or parent, minimum age 12) can sign up together using the link below.

Both Club members and their registered family member will receive AHA Heartsaver CPR AED
certification upon completion.

Details :
  • When : Four sessions covering the same material on Sundays October 5th and 12th, at 9 AM and 1 PM (each session lasts approximately 3 hours).
  • Where : W2MMD Clubhouse.
  • What : Covers the AHA Heartsaver® CPR course (including AED use) and first aid topics relevant to Clubhouse activities.
  • Capacity : 48 registrants total, assigned in order of sign-up, prioritizing sessions you can attend.
  • Deadline : Tuesday, September 30, 2025 or when sessions are full, whichever comes first.
  • Notification : You’ll be notified of your assigned session by Thursday, October 2, 2025.

During registration, indicate which of the four sessions you can attend. We’ll schedule you in order of sign-up, avoiding sessions you mark as unavailable. If registration is high, additional sessions may be considered in the future. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a valid ID.
