The 40th Annual GCARC Hamfest at the Gloucester County 4-H Fairgrounds is almost upon us. Sunday, September 16, 2018 is the big day and it is fast approaching. Ours is one of the biggest hamfest events in the tri-state area with more than 500 attendees and over 70 tailgaters and vendors.
We have been named by the ARRL as their official Southern New Jersey Section Convention! That means, in addition to all the customary activities such as an array of large vendors, VEC testing, DXCC-VUCC-WAS card checking, fabulous door prizes, and the ham social event of the year, we will continue with an outstanding program addressing current trend setting topics of interest to all.
Here are the presentations we have planned:
07:55 AM : Welcome Remarks
- Ron Block, NR2B : GCARC Hamfest Speaker's Forum Manager
- Bruce Canino, KD2LBU : GCARC President
John has over three years of experience operating RHR stations. He will demonstrate what it's like to make contacts using an Elecraft K3/0 Mini control head and the time-proven web interface that RHR provides, including useful features, such as Chat, Log, DX Spots, Station, and Calendar.
Once he has gone over the basics, John will make several contacts - possibly from Puerto Rico or Haiti.

Oscilloscope probes, particularly 10x probes, and their proper use and compensation will be covered. Please come with your questions, and learn about this most useful tool!
